2025-2026 JLMLF Good Troublemaker Neighborhood Grants were awarded to the Black Man Lab Foundation, KiDsGyM USA® and The Noble Truth Project.
BACKGROUND
The John and Lillian Miles Lewis Foundation was established to carry on the Lewises’ passion for purposeful living, civic engagement and building the “beloved community,” and to inspire and support Good Troublemakers everywhere. We are focused on supporting democracy and voting, youth civic engagement and building bridges.
GRANT PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Good Troublemaker Neighborhood Grants will identify and support community-based organizations that are committed to the same ideals shared by Congressman John Lewis. These grants will be given to organizations with a proven track record of making a difference in their communities.

Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations must be located in—and provide services in—the district formerly served by Rep. John Lewis. Annual revenue must not exceed $500,000. These grants aim to support community-based programs that foster positive change, advance democracy, and empower communities guided by truth, integrity, and moral clarity.
