We recently worked with Darrell Booker and the Nonprofit Tech Acceleration (NTA) program at Microsoft to introduce “Lessons in Good Trouble” to students from several Atlanta-area elementary schools including John R. Lewis Elementary School, Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy and Charles R. Drew Charter School. Darrell’s team is making sure this innovative learning experience gets out into the community, creating opportunities for young people to learn from history in a fun and engaging way.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of working with Justin Edwards and the Minecraft Education Team to relaunch “Lessons in Good Trouble,” an interactive learning experience that introduces young people to John Lewis and other Good Troublemakers including Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, Mahatma Gandhi; Malala Yousafzai and Emmeline Pankhurst.

The event was also a professional development opportunity for teachers. They had the chance to see “Lessons in Good Trouble” up close and reflect on how they might be able to use it in their lesson plans.

Teachers and parents around the world can use Minecraft Education’s “Lessons in Good Trouble” to teach their children about Civil Rights, History and Good Troublemakers.
